The Aprender y Crecer program is kicking off its 20th anniversary year with a new milestone. The Juntos Por La Educación (Together for Education) fundraising campaign collected more than $2.6 million from PriceSmart members from October 17 through December 31, 2025. These contributions will directly support the Aprender y Crecer program in 2026, helping to provide students in Central America, the Dominican Republic and Colombia with the essential tools they need to succeed in the classroom, and beyond.
“Our members' more than $2.6 million in donations will go 100% to help students—no overhead,” remarked PriceSmart CEO David Price. “The generosity of our members over the years has helped Aprender y Crecer provide 1.5 million school supply packages, 3.2 million books, and 34,000 pairs of glasses that help kids actually see what they're learning. Thank you to our members and our partners at Price Philanthropies Foundation.”
In 2026, the Aprender y Crecer program will support approximately 150,000 students at nearly 300 public schools in the region. The program, which provides school supplies, cleaning supplies, books, teaching resources, eye exams and eyeglasses, has been an integral part of PriceSmart’s commitment to education since the program’s inception in 2006.
